Remember the movie The Tribe that was set to star Jewel and be released either this year or next? And then do you remember when the movie was said to have a new production team, get re-shot and re-cast, effectively changing the movie? Well Esplatter.com are reporting on this movie again, saying it's now called The Lost Tribe, and saying it's got a new cast and etc. However they post the trailer and it's the same trailer we saw previously. In case you didn't see this trailer before, here it is again:

TVGuide.com have done an interview with Jewel where she talks about Atlantis and discusses the end of the show. She reveals that the people who she bonded with most onset were David Hewlett and Amanda Tapping saying,

"I think we all have a mutual respect for each other, but we love to tease each other, too. And Amanda's just one of those really likeable people. She's gracious, professional, easy-going, lovely to be around, and besides that, she's really easy to crack up. The three of us did an episode together in season four called Trio that involved us and a filthy, dusty room that was rigged to tilt and shake. It should have been a miserable week, but I've never laughed so hard. I think the crew was starting to get a little fed up with us because we ruined so many takes, but it was one of the most fun weeks I've ever had on the job."

It's titled Brainstorm and it's set to be one of the lighter episodes of the season.

In an effort to get the gallery up to date i'm working my way through Stargate: Atlantis episodes and trying to cap them all. So far I've done Quarantine, Trio, The Kindred Part I, The Kindred Part II, The Last Man, The Seed, Broken Ties, The Shrine, Tracker, The Queen, First Contact and The Lost Tribe. I'm working my way through all of the ones she's been in! We now have over 10,000 images at the gallery!

I know updates have been sparse here, of which I am really sorry about. I'm incredibly busy and I haven't had much time. Though I hope you'll forgive me with this update.

I've just added nearly 1000 images to the gallery! I'm getting there slowly, but there are a load of new images, including screen captures for Firefly, new images from premieres, conventions and other events. Of course, none of this was done on my own - a big thanks to Rach from Richard-Kahan.com and a MASSIVE thanks to Jay for the majority of the new images, including all of the new screen caps.

Some news has been posted on Jewel's official site that she'll be making a special appearance at this year's Sci-Fi Expo in Plano Texas on October 25th - 26th. Click here for more information.

Huge congratulations to Jewel who has been nominated for a Gemini Award at this year's 23rd Annual Ceremony. She's been nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for her performance in the episode, Missing. In addition to that Atlantis itself has three other nominations - writer Alan McCullough for Best Writing in a Dramatic Series category for his episode Tabula Rasa, visual effects supervisor Mark Savela and his team were nominated for the fourth season premiere, Adrift and Todd Masters and the MastersFX team were nominated in the Best Achievement in Make-Up category for the aged Rodney McKay in the season finale, The Last Man.

Jewel has updated her Myspace blog. Just a short entry, but she mentions the cancellation of Atlantis and looking forward to new projects.

Jewel will be attending this year's Dragon*Con, which is happening next weekend. She'll be there signing autographs and taking part in a Stargate and Firefly panel.

It hasn't come as a surprise to me, but sadly, Stargate: Atlantis will no longer be continuing after it's current fifth season - it has been cancelled. According to GateWorld, the season ender Enemy at the Gate will end on a cliff hanger and be continued with an Atlantis movie.

And the Firefly merchandise keeps on coming. But this time i think they might have hit the nail on the head. You can now pre-order a Little damn hero - animated Kaylee maquette. She got her umbrella from the pilot episode, Serenity, and looks adorable!

Another report/interview from Comic con has come through. Pop Culture Zoo attended the Atlantis panel and interviewed Jewel after the panel. When asked about a possible romance on the show, she had this to say, "Romance makes the characters more real and shows tend to shy away from that." Click the link for the full interview.

io9.com have got some new onset images from a brand new episode of Stargate: Atlantis, Brain Storm. It's no big surprise that her date is ... Rodney McKay.
